Mold production will start from receiving the mold sample or mold drawing from customers. This is the first step of manufacturing injection molding – receiving the task.1. Before the manufacturing of injection moldings
AERO MOLD will collect mold data, including its application, mold performance requirements and technical parameters, such as its dimensions and precision. Taking a plastic mold as an example, many aspects should be taken into consideration, such as the customer's requirements for the mold shape, transparency and performance, the reasonability of the mold structure, slant angle, insert installation, the allowable tolerance for the mold's weld bead, shrinkage cavity, and the use of coating, electroplating, screen printing, and drilling. We also consider whether or not the designed molding tolerance is lower than the tolerance of molded plastic part, and whether required plastic parts could be manufactured. Moreover, AERO MOLD will also determine if the injection molding platifying parameters meet its performance requirements.2. Processing materials
Gate type, the injection molding machine model, the performance of plastic materials and its structure all need to be figured out before the production. Molding materials should possess a good liquidity, uniformity, thermal stability. Its hardness should meet the requirements for molded plastic parts.3. Choosing proper injection molding machine
When choosing injection molding machines, there are many items should be considered, including shot capacity, clamping force, injection pressure, mold's mounting dimension, size of ejection system, diameter of nozzle bore, the spherical radius of nozzle, the dimension of sprue bushing's spherical recess, and the stroke of molding plate.4. Injection molding's structure designing
Two-plate or three-plate mold should be taken into consideration. Injection molding structures should be carefully designed: whether it is stable, whether it's properties meet the requirements of the molded plastic part (such as its geometrical shape, surface smoothness, dimension and processing precision), and the requirements towards economic efficiency (low production cost, high production efficiency, long serving life, adaptable to long-period injection molding, small labor force and other information.
